HANOI, Sep. 26 — 2016 Chinese Culture Week and Confucius Institute Day series of events was observed in Hanoi University. Vietnamese college students participated in such varied and colorful activities as the 1st Chinese Character Dictation Competition, the 1st Chinese Singing Competition, and the “Sinophile” Chinese Culture Trivia Competition, in zero-distance contact with the pulchritude of Chinese culture. Moreover, the Week also staged a Studying in China Q&A Session, exposing Vietnamese students to the latest information on studying abroad.
The Vietnamese students who wish to learn Chinese will vigorously use the Confucius Institute as a platform to get close to Chinese culture and lay a solid knowledge foundation for promoting China-Vietnam friendship and cultural exchanges, said Liu Sanzhen, Cultural Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam. Nguyen Thi Cuc Phuong, Vice Principal of Hanoi University and Board President of Confucius Institute at Hanoi University, said that she hoped to see more exchanges observed by the Confucius Institute, so as to contribute to the friendship between Vietnam and China.
